Evil Eye

Recently I was on the Lower East Side when I spotted an amazing store. It looked like a dream environment. I went in and found handcrafted home furnishings from North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. I sat on all the couches, admired the beaded chandeliers, and vowed that when I won Lotto I would return. I noticed a basket of Evil Eyes from Morocco. Who doesn't need a little extra protection? The evil eye is an ancient symbol, common to all cultures, used to deter evil and provide protection.
You can visit the store at Sheherazadenyc.com.
All the information you will ever need on the Evil Eye can be found courtesy of the Encyclopedic website Lucky Mojo.com. http://www.luckymojo.com/evileye.html
The Evil Eye image makes a great t-shirt that can be worn the regular way, as well as under your clothes for that extra added boost!

Below is a recipe from the amazing Turkish psychic, Bahar. She guaranteed that it would remove all negativity and offer protection.

Fresh Start Bath

7 red roses
juice of half a lemon
handful of seasalt
splash of vinegar
splash of holy water or spring water

Fill a tub with water. Remove the roses from their stems and add them to the bath with the other ingredients. Submerge yourself for 7 minutes, rubbing the flowers over you and asking that all negativity be removed from you.
Dry off with a white towel, put on fresh clothes, and voila, a new you.

Thank you for the recipe, Bahar, wherever you are!
